Dear Prayer Partners and Co-Laborers in the Gospel,
Warmest of Christian Greetings to you all.
Please pray and do as Lord prompts you to do to the Body of Christ that affected by Floods on the Friday the 2nd and Saturday the 3rd of Oct 2009.
I am coming here to let you know with grieved heart and prayers Unprecedented Floods in our State of Andhra Pradesh and other States in India.
The Floods inundated about Hundreds of Villages in different Districts of Andhra Pradesh. About 3.lakhs of people are being evacuated from different Villages of different Districts which are facing the threat of being marooned as the angry waters submerged Houses and Streets. and some more lakh(s) (Hundred thousand is one lakh)of people from different Villages will be evacuated by this night, The Rains and Floods killed 27.people but reports from the Flood –hit areas indicated that that the number would be much high. In one place, A City with a population of nearly five lakh, bore the burnt of the floods fury as water reached the first storey of several Buildings. There were heart-rending scenes of people frantically seeking assistance to rescue them and help them in the need.
The reports are not yet come out concerning devastation of these Floods and death toll.
As your good selves know that ACTION IN CRISIS has 76. Mission Centres, and 24. Mission Centres of them, are affected Floods and no death rate is informed but there is much devastation and the Victimized Families left their Houses belongings and etc coming out to the safer places. We have booked two vans and our Teams are going to different places to visit and offer prayers and food packets to the Body of Christ in the above said flood affected Mission Stations.
I will give you other details in my next e-mail for the time being sending attachments of News paper clippings for your kind perusal and praying Desks to pray and extend helping hands to the victimized families in our Mission Centres as Lord directs you all. We always Praise God and grateful to you all for your Prayers and Continued support and for yours speedy and prompt prayerful actions in the loving name of Jesus Christ.
